| The pure product is a white crystal or white crystalline powder, soluble in water, ethanol, methanol, insoluble in ether, benzene, acetone, with sweet taste. L-ribose can be easily deliquesced. L-ribose is the enantiomer of D-Ribose which is an important and rare biological genetic related saccharide, with special physiological effects, and it is also the composing saccharide of various ribose nucleic acids (RNA) and various nucleotide coenzymes.
